Recent Happenings...

Sorry for the lack of posting here. I wrote this post almost two weeks ago and for some reason i'm just getting around to posting... better late than never.

Did you have a good weekend? We did! Friday night Tex took me to buy a few new outfits and then we went to dinner at Chuy’s, a new Mexican restaurant in Tulsa that’s from Austin. The food is delicious, and the strawberry margaritas are even better! Saturday we had a nice relaxing day running errands and ate at a new BBQ place called Oklahoma Joes. It wasn’t the best. My favorite is still Albert G’s or Massey’s in Okmulgee. While we were out we got Bailey some bones, she thanked us for them. Tex had to go to work so I went over to my parents. We grilled out and had a nice family dinner. It was the first time in a while that all of us kids had been there at once. There’s four of us. Plus Tatum.
Sunday, we had planned a fishing trip but Tex somehow forgot about the fishing poles. We took Bailey and took the back roads to Disney, Oklahoma at Grand Lake. Bailey was glad to get out of the house. We stopped in Foyil at the World’s Largest Totem Pole, we went to the dam at Disney and had a nice little picnic lunch at the state park. Before we left that morning I had put a pepperchini roast in the crock-pot and when we got home the house smelled wonderful.

We almost finished my armoire that we completely refinished and I’m so excited to get to start using it! We had our first family dinner last night and can you believe it was the first time for us to eat at our dinner table! We usually eat in the living room or at the bar. It was a nice change. We have been spring cleaning like crazy around here. When were finished I’ll give y’all a tour! Have a great week!

weekend.

Hi, how long has it been? A while…. I have come to terms that life is never going to slow down… or if it does, then something is wrong. Let’s start with last week.

Last Week

Thursday-
·         Left work at noon.
·         Took flowers to my Mammy to cheer her up.
·         Ran some last minute errands that have been put on the back burner lately.
·         Cleaned house and packed for our exciting trip to Texas.
·         Took the most amazing two hour nap, I needed that.
·         Had burgers and milk shakes with the mister at Fat Guy’s Burger Bar
·         Took Miss Bailey for a walk
·         Showered and went to bed.

Friday-
·         Took the whole day off work.
·         Slept through my alarm and Tex’s. even after my nap the day before.
·         Woke up at 7:30am by Tex calling saying he was off work and wanted to know if I was ready to hit the road.
·         Rushed to get ready and finish packing.
·         8:12- Was on the road.
·         8:19- Doughnut shop, enuff said.
·         Arrived in Plano, Tx just in time to surprise Momma Tex as she walked out of her office to go to lunch.
·         Visited with Tex’s grandma
·         Helped Momma Tex pack and load things (she’s moving)
·         Went and ate dinner at the Windom Feed Sack. I love that place.
·         Tex tried to “fix” the lawn mower. Which resulted in a broken lawn mower. Even more than before.

The weekend.
This weekend was a bit of a blur. Keep in mind that we were spending the weekend in Texas to visit Tex’s family. He rarely has a day off, much less a whole weekend of for sure being off on vacation, no on-call whatsoever. So we decided to go. Saturday we woke up pretty early and Tex wanted to go mow and work out at his Grandmas. So we left Momma Tex’s and headed to Princeton. Tex spent the morning mowing and weed-eating while I cut down the shrubs, raked leaves and grass and visited with his Grandma.
While in Dallas I wanted to pick up some lotion from Nordstrom’s. Because we STILL, I repeat, STILL don’t have a Nordstrom’s in Tulsa. I know right? So after all the mowing was done, we showered and headed to North Park. It was my first time there.
So many stores! So many stores that we don’t have in Tulsa. I had to order my moisturizer, so it will be here sometime this week, but I did get some new lip gloss from Sephora and Tex bought us new coffee mugs from Anthropolgie. Yippee.
After the mall we headed towards the West End in downtown Dallas to go to the aquarium. Unfortunatly the exhibits closed at 5pm. So we walked around and decided to go to the Pub and have a beer, it was Saint Patty’s day after all. Well, after a long night we agreed on just getting a hotel room there. Sunday we went back to Momma Tex’s, picked up our beloved Bailey Rae, said our goodbyes and headed home. After we got home of course there was tonnnnnns to do. Tex made me a clothes rack in our garage because our closet is too small. All in all it was a good weekend but was cut too short.

What I wanted to do...

What I wanted to do this weekend...

Yes, I know it sounds boring but I wanted to clean. I wanted to organize. I wanted to sort through old things for my garage sale. The weather has been so good here lately that I might be having a garage sale sooner than later.

What I actually did this weekend...

I spent time with this handsome man.

I spent even more time with this little rascal.

We went shopping for all things Minnie Mouse.

After a long day of shopping, Tex took us to eat a big giant steak. Just kidding. About the steak part.

Then we came home and worked on Tatum's Minnie Mouse invites.
She loves them.

And we played with this little stinker some. She wasn't very happy this weekend. She spent Friday at the groomers. Shes the prudiest puppy I have ever weber seen!

And last but not least... I dyed my hair. Yes it's red.
I know.

Happy Monday! Have a great week!

A late post...

Frustration.... i was going to blog last night, or at least the weekly words thingy that i do. Buttttt, we didn't get home til 8:30, we hadn't even ate, none of the laundry was done, and when i went to post my picture, it said that my webpage could not be found... WTH? Turns out the template i had it wasn't supporting anymore, or something, i don't know. i do my best just to type. So i changed the background image to this terrible, ugly, hideous, fake sky blue and i gave up. So here i am.
Anyways... on to happier times, yesterday was great! Amazing weather here in Oklahoma. After sleeping in all morning, Tex took me to lunch. We ended up coming back home, grabbing Bailey and headed out to my Dad's farm. We spent the day out in the sun with my family. We fished, rode four-wheelers, and hiking in the woods while my dad and uncle cut down and burned brush. i didn't get to take many pics but i did snap a picture of Bailey swimming in the pond. She love to swim!

It was a good weekend!

My Weekend

Weekends are so much more valuable to me now that I'm working a true 8 to 5 job! That being said, I didn't get much done this weekend. Which is kind bad considering it was my last free weekend before the wedding. This coming Saturday is my Bridal Shower, the next Saturday is my hair appointment at 9 then my Bachelorette party that night! Annnnd the Saturday after that is the WEDDING!!! Here are some snap shots of the past weekend.

I accidentally dropped a bag of trail mix and Bailey was having a field day with it! Scooping it up in her mouth, eating it as quick as she could before I picked it all up!

BRC doing what she does best! EATING!!!

Making Wedding Cookies!

   Me & Tex goofing off!

My Weekend...We've been on Vacation!!!

Mini vaca that is! Saturday night Tex came in and woke me up. He was bored and decided we were going to take a mini trip back home to Texas since he had the next four days off, even Bailey got to go! We ended up leaving our house around midnight and got to his Moms house around 4am. Talk about being tired... Sunday we went to lunch and then made the drive to visit his Grandma. Tex gets so excited when we  get to go see his family! Its so cute! Sunday night we left Bailey with her Grammy and then Tex and I went to Dallas for the night. We stayed downtown at the Adolphus Hotel.

OMG so fancy, so pretty, I could live there. There are no words good enough to describe it. We checked in around nine, put up our bags and went out on the town. We found this little mexican cantina that we ate dinner and had drinks. Of course Tex had some Bud Light and I got myself a mango margerita. YUMMMM!

It was karaoke night at the cantina and I kept begging Tex to go sing since he looks like Jason Aldean thinks he looks like Jason Aldean. Haha yeah I know. After dinner we went back to the hotel to get some rest! Bailey's grammy sent me pics of her and Bailey and told me goodnight.

We got up bright and early Monday morning to grab some Starbucks and head on down to Harry Hines.

I LOVE SHOPPING! I got tonnnns of stuff! Monday night we went back to Tex's Moms house to check on our Bailey and spend some time with family. We swam and grilled out! Tex made us some great steaks!

We had a great weekend but Im so glad to be home! Im ready to catch up on some sleep!
Footnote: Sorry about the horrible quality pics. I always forget to take my camera with me so I have to use my iphone.

Our Weekend!

Friday night Tex had to work while I caught up on wedding projects. Butttt before he went to work he surprised me with some beautiful pink roses!!! So sweet! He got home Saturday morning rip and ready to go garage sailing. Tatum got to come and stay with us again so we picked her up and were on our way. Later Tex decided to go home and nap since we had a big night ahead.. so me and Tatum went and met up with my Mammy and we went shopping and to lunch. Saturday night our church was having its annual Fire On The Mountain Celebration. Its food, fun, and fireworks. They had big inflatable games and singing and horse rides. Tatum loved it. And so did Mr. Tex.
We missed church Sunday morning, boo! But we got alot done wedding wise. And I even planted a few flowers I had been putting off haven't had time to plant.
Heres a few pictures of our weekend!

Footnote: Does Bailey look pathetic in this picture? She was upset the whole weekend because she had to share her mommy & daddy time with Tatum. Tatum went home Sunday and she is much better now!

A few photos from my weekend...

Friday night Tex had to work and I had a birthday party for my BFF.
I spent Saturday morning at Starbucks, shopping for my flower pot bouquets, and my bridesmaid gifts. I also went to a cake tasting, it was the most terrible and expensive cake I have ever had. Its safe to say I WILL NOT be ordering my wedding cake with them.
Saturday afternoon I spent hanging out with my niece and making Mr. Tex mini blueberry cobblers. They were delish! We went out to dinner that night and shopping for a few wedding supplies.
Sunday we went to Church and to lunch then just spent the rest of the day working in the yard, swimming, and relaxing. It was a nice weekend!
How was your weekend?
