Our Holiday Bazaar & a biRtHdAy for Momma Tex

Its been awhile since I've posted a regular post. If you follow me on instagram then you may have already seen a few pictures. Our 2012 Holiday Bazaar was great! We had such a fun time!

Momma Tex, { ♥ K&C } also came with her! We celebrated her birthday since we won't get to see her again until Christmas :( 

It's been a busy November, but December and Christmas is almost here!

Annnnd.....

            We’re back online. 

These past weeks have been exhausting. And while we didn’t move to Texas, we did move out of the Tiny Apartment and we will move again in January. Hopefully, it will be the last move until we start building our house. Not much has changed in the Tex household. Tex is working, I’m working, and the pups are even working... well making messes for us to clean up.

• Surprise last minute trip to texas 
• acquired a few “new” old things
• Found out that my favorite little hometown bar closed down.
• Found a new little charming bar that will have to do.
• made 2 really important decisions with tex (we will be announcing soon!)
• our 6 month lease is finally up in our tiny apartment, and while me, tex, and both pups are ready to gt out and have more room, we are going to stay for just a few more months... (again, more on that later!)
• Saturday night girls night out with the bff
• Planned our next trip- our anniversary and my birthday trip to Dallas,  with fun adventures to the Dallas World Aquarium, Shopping, lunch at ketchup burger bar, and maybe a DRYBAR appointment for me :)

     Exciting things are coming up!

Chh-ch-ch-changes...

   Changes are happening in our household! We have Diesel, our new puppy and were getting things sit-chu-a-ted and hopefully getting ready to move. We have turned off our cable and internet to be able to put back some money since were moving soon. Buying a house is stressful, let me tell ya! I already have tons of projects in mind for when we finally do get moved in! (Thanks to PINTEREST) If y’all are on Pinterest check me out, I would love to follow you and vice versa! Guess what?! I’m back! 

And I have alot to share after that two week vacay! July 4 celebrations, Mammy’s birthday, and Momma Tex’s visit! We are also looking for a new fur brother or fur sister for Bailey Rae. I’ll be back tomorrow with the past few weeks bits & pieces! Have a great week everyone!

that happened this past week....

• Deep cleaned our tiny apartment
• Went to a long over due doctors appointment
• took Bailey to her grooming appointment at the dog shop
• bailey took a poop in the floor at the dog shop when i picked her up
• Tex cleaned it up
• Went grocery shopping
• got my hair highlighted
• played at the park with my baby love
• made plans for tex's birthday party!
• bought an industrial strength clothes rack, since all of our homemade ones havent passed the test. 
• cleaned out our yard sale room and organized it all, we will be having part 2 of our yard sale soon!
• celebrated mothers day with my mammy!

A quick post...

To make up for my recent lack...
I have been wanting an iPad since FOREVER!!! Ok, well since they came out. Yesterday I get a text from Tex saying that he bought Bailey Rae a new toy. It was a new iPad! Eeek! So here I sit on my lunch hour at Panera writing this post. I LOVE IT! The only thing I haven't figured out is how to add my pictures to the posts...

Now I'm online on the go! Also, the Pioneer Woman is in Tulsa today for her cookbook launch party! Go say hi! You can bet I'm gonna be there!

Blah...blah...blah.

I ment to post this monday, unfortunately our Internet has been down... So here it is Wednesday...

Did you have a good weekend? We did! Friday night Tex took me to buy a few new outfits and then we went to dinner at Chuy’s, a new Mexican restaurant in Tulsa that’s from Austin. The food is delicious, and the strawberry margaritas are even better! Saturday we had a nice relaxing day running errands and ate at a new BBQ place called Oklahoma Joes. It wasn’t the best. My favorite is still Albert G’s or Massey’s in Okmulgee. While we were out we got Bailey some bones, she thanked us for them. Tex had to go to work so I went over to my parents. We grilled out and had a nice family dinner. It was the first time in a while that all of us kids had been there at once. There’s four of us. Plus Tatum.
                                                                                                              
Sunday, we had planned a fishing trip but Tex somehow forgot about the fishing poles. We took Bailey and took the back roads to Disney, Oklahoma at Grand Lake. Bailey was glad to get out of the house. We stopped in Foyil at the World’s Largest Totem Pole, we went to the dam at Disney and had a nice little picnic lunch at the state park. Before we left that morning I had put a pepperchini roast in the crock-pot and when we got home the house smelled wonderful. We almost finished my armoire that we completely refinished and I’m so excited to get to start using it! We had our first family dinner last night and can you believe it was the first time for us to eat at our dinner table! We usually eat in the living room or at the bar. It was a nice change. We have been spring cleaning like crazy around here. When were finished I’ll give y’all a tour! Have a great week!

Life... post moving.

Look! It’s me! I’m actually back online! After a week and a half almost two weeks of nothing but cleaning, unpacking, no internet, and dead air channels I am happy to announce that we are done moving! There are still a few boxes that I need to put in storage but besides that everything is great! We have cable and internet again and Tex says he’s starting to feel like a normal person again. Bailey has had a rough time with the move, for the first few days she just laid and moped around. She’s sad that she can’t go out by herself anymore and run free. She’s getting better though, and she has even met a few friends.

When we moved, we got ALL of our stuff out of storage. We have TONS and TONS of clothing. My closets were overflowing with clothes that we don’t normally wear but just don’t want to get rid of. So this weekend I came up with a plan, being the genius that I am… I went down to the Wal-Mart and bought one of those rolling clothes racks. I thought it was a brilliant idea and would fit perfectly in the garage. So I get home and put it together (completely impressed with myself that I did it all on my own) and put all of the clothes on it. And now my pantry is clean and it functions like a normal pantry does, not like a third closet. I decided to wait until Tex got home from work to wheel it out to the garage since it’s about 50 yards away and there are steps involved. Now Tex doesn’t like buying furniture or anything that needs to be sturdy from Wal-Mart, target, store like that ect… So I knew how he would take it… “Oh Ashley I can’t believe you wasted 10 dollars on this piece! It’s made to hold maybe 7-10 pieces of light clothing! Not 30-50 pieces of heavy coats and dresses! What were you thinking?” but instead I got “That’s a great idea, now we can actually use our pantry! And there’s plenty of room for it in the garage.” I was surprised. So we make it out the door and its already wobbling, twisting back and forth. “Man this thing isn’t very sturdy is it?”, asks Tex. Down the stairs we go and onto the parking lot…. Bam! We lost it. The top pole cracked and next thing I know there’s a pile of clothes laying on the concert. I was so embarrassed. And of course some car is waiting on us to pick up everything so they can park. Me and Tex are picking things up as fast as we can and putting back on the rack, making sure not to overload it. We finally get to the last handful and we just carry it. On we go! Not even a few feet and the damn thing falls apart again. “Alright now I’m getting irritated this thing is done for!”, Tex grippes. And all I could do is just fall down laughing. Tex is standing there picking clothes up off the ground and I’m laughing. “Why are you laughing?” he asks.  What else am I supposed to do? By that time I decided to just carry all of the clothing to the garage while he tried to “fix” the rack. And guess what, it might be a tad bit hillbilly but duct-tape really does fix everything!

How was your Valentine’s Day? Ours was great! I got up and made Tex pancakes and bacon for breakfast, Threw chicken in the crockpot for Crockpot Chicken Tacos for dinner that night, and exchanged love notes with Tex- all before we went to work that morning. We also gave Bailey her presents. Tex got a humongous bone and I got her another tug-o-war toy (like she needs another one.) When I got in my car, Tex had left me a dozen pink roses and tonnnnns of candy. He is so sweet! When I got home that night I was expecting the house to smell wondrous and delicious. How I imagine the Pioneer Woman’s house smells every minute of everyday. But it wasn’t. Bummer. I went over to the crockpot and lifted the lid, the chicken looked just as I had left it at 7:30. The crockpot wasn’t hot. The crockpot wasn’t even WARM! I moved it over and turns out I plugged the toaster in instead of the crockpot… Major fail. I threw the chicken out. It was still cold but I didn’t want to chance it. I cleaned up the kitchen and went on to order pizza. Tex had to work late last night so it wasn’t that big of a deal. When he did he home I gave him his bouquet I made and we watched the tv for a little while. The day didn’t go how I had planned but then again when does it?

this week...

Im struggling with this week. 

I literally had SUCH a bad day yesterday by noon, I requested Friday off

and booked an appointment at drybar in Dallas for this weekend.

Everything was going wrong. 

My husband even came and took me to lunch and somehow

even that got messed up.

By the time I got home last night, I was exhausted.

Im normally such a light sleeper, well last night I didn't even hear 

Tex come in from work.            (Maybe he was just being super sneaky.) 

I woke up around midnight scared silly because

I felt someone next to me.

Don't worry,

it was just my husband...

Anyways,

My goals for this week...

1. Get through the week without having a meltdown.

2. Get through the week without saying anything stupid.

3. Get through the week without putting my clothes on inside out

(Not that I've done that)

Okay, Im done complaining now.

Bad day

Bad Week.

Its been pretty quiet here.

Heres Why:

This week has been the worst EVER! I had a fabulous time in Texas last weekend. Got my windows tinted on my brand new car, had a great girls night- dinner, drinks, & shopping. I came home Saturday afternoon and finished out my weekend. It was lovely.

Monday morning rolls around--------------------

On my way to work, on the highway, as usual, traffic is a dead stop. Suddenly Im rear-ended by a tahoe doing 55 MPH. My beautiful brand new car. HIT! The whole back end and side is GONE, CRUSHED, COMPLETELY WRECK! Oh its oh so sad. Its still upsetting and its been 4 whole days. So of course I called Tex and he came and rescued me. After two hours of dealing with the teenage girl (the one who hit me), the police, and the wrecker, we could finally leave. I ended up going to the ERgent Care because my back and neck were in pain.

It was a terrible day.

TUESDAY: I stayed home from work. I decided to take a pain pill the doctor had prescribed. I took it around 9, at 8pm that night I was still sick and nausas and throwing up. 

FAIL.

It was a terrible day.

WEDNESDAY: First day back at work. A million emails, nothing new. 

It was a long but okay day.

Wednesday Night... James wakes me up around 2am because Bailey is super sick.

And we are up the rest of the night.

It was a terrible night.

THURSDAY (thats today): Tired from hardly any sleep last night. 

TOMORROW IS FRIDAY AND IT WILL BE A GREAT WEEKEND!

UPDATE

   Hmm.. Where to start. I haven't blogged since Sunday, I was planning on getting back to my normal schedule this week... however, I haven't. This week has been a little rough on me. I haven't hardly done anything. No new pictures, no laundry, and my room is still a mess. I haven't updated the boutique since before the wedding, and my list goes on and on. Im just exhausted. So this weekend me & Tex have a big to do list! Maybe next week will go a little smoother for me. Hopefully! But for now I'm signing off for this week. Ta Ta! 




p.s. My birthday is Monday! And to celebrate my company is giving everyone the day off! 
..... Okay maybe were off for Labor Day. Who knows?

We Are Home!!!

Mr. & Mrs. Tex are now home from the Honeymoon!!! We had a great time and have tons of pictures to share! I will go back to normal blogging hours hopefully tomorrow! But now I'm going to spend a few more hours with my new hubby before he has to go back to work. Ta Ta!
